Vassia Alati is an acclaimed operatic soprano known for her captivating performances and exceptional vocal abilities. With a diverse repertoire spanning classical and contemporary works, Vassia has established herself as an accomplished artist with a promising career.
Her impressive roles on the operatic stage include Lady in "The Magic Flute" at the Megaron Athens Concert Hall in 2023, Norma (cover) in "Norma" at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus in 2023, Andronica in "Andronica" at the Olympia Theatre 'Maria Callas' in Athens in 2022, Galatea in "Acis and Galatea" at the Schönbrunn Palace Theatre in 2018, Donna Anna in "Don Giovanni" at the MDW in 2018, and Queen of the Night in "The Magic Flute" at various prestigious venues in 2017/2018.
Vassia Alati has also graced the stage as Musetta in "La Boheme" at the MDW in 2018, Servilia in "La Clemenza di Tito" at the Megaron Athens Concert Hall in 2017, Emmeline in "King Arthur" at the Schönbrunn Palace Theatre in 2017, and Belinda and Second Woman in "Dido and Aeneas" with the Athens Municipality Orchestra in 2017.
Her exceptional talent extends beyond opera, as Vassia has showcased her vocal prowess in numerous selected performances and concerts. Notable highlights include a Liederabend with Gulnara Arcaini on piano, featuring works of R. Strauss, A. Berg, and R. Schumann at the Bösendorfer Salon in Vienna in 2023, and as a soloist at the Krakow Organ Festiwal "Jesień Organowa" with Maciej Bator on organ in 2023.
Vassia Alati has also participated in esteemed events such as the European Liedforum in Vienna in 2022, the International Lied Festival Zeist with Yuto Kiguchi on piano in 2023, and various concerts at renowned venues like The Concertgebouw Amsterdam and the Istanbul Opera Festival.
Educated at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien, Vassia honed her skills in Lied, Oratorio, and Concert under the tutelage of Prof. Markus Hadulla. She also pursued an Opera Master's degree under the guidance of prominent voice teachers and opera professionals.
Throughout her educational journey, Vassia has had the opportunity to attend masterclasses with distinguished figures in the industry, such as Margreet Honig, KS Edda Moser, and Dimitri Kavrakos, to name a few. These experiences have enriched her artistic development and shaped her artistic sensibilities.
Vassia Alati has garnered recognition and acclaim, receiving accolades such as the 1st Prize in the First International Lied Competition 'Bolko von Hochberg' in Görlitz, Germany in 2022, as well as a Special Prize in the 54th International Vocal Competition in 's Hertogenbosch, Netherlands in 2021. Additionally, she received the 2nd Prize in the International Student Lied Duo Competition in the Netherlands in 2020.
Supported by prestigious scholarships, including the Maria Callas Scholarship and the Athens Conservatoire Scholarship, Vassia Alati has demonstrated her exceptional dedication to her craft and her unwavering commitment to artistic excellence.
